Dark and Darker, a multiplayer extraction game, was delisted from the Epic Games Store in March due to an ongoing legal dispute.
Epic Games is now informing players via email that the game will be completely inaccessible later this year, with a removal date set for November 1, 2025.
The decision to remove the game from sale on the Epic Games Store was made in consideration of a court ruling in Korea involving Nexon and Ironmace, the game's publisher.
Players who purchased the Legendary Status upgrade for Dark and Darker will receive a refund, but those who bought Redstone shards will not.
The court ruling from February did not find Ironmace guilty of infringing on Nexon's copyright but required them to pay 8.5 billion won in damages.
Interestingly, the game is not facing removal from Steam at this time, despite prior issues in 2023.
The overall situation surrounding Dark and Darker remains complex and unsettled.
