Amazon Receives FAA Approval for MK30 Delivery Drone
- Amazon has received FAA approval to fly its new MK30 delivery drone.
- The MK30 drone has twice the range and is quieter than its predecessor, the MK27.
- The approval allows for beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS) missions, enabling delivery to areas not directly visible from the warehouse.
- The service is limited to delivering parcels weighing up to 2.27 kg (~5 lbs).
