Support for Beat Saber on PS4 and PS5 with PlayStation VR (PSVR) or PSVR 2 has ended, effective immediately from June 18, 2025.
Existing game versions can still be played on both systems with Sony headsets, but new songs and updates will no longer be available.
The last addition to the game on PS4 and PS5 was the song “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga.
The reason for ending support was not specified in the official announcement, but it was noted to precede a major development for the title.
Despite the support ending, Beat Saber will remain listed on the PlayStation Store, and customer support will still be provided.
Multiplayer mode for PS4 and PS5 PlayStation VR players will also be discontinued by January 21, 2026.
No detailed explanation was given for the multiplayer mode termination.
This decision follows a similar move where support was discontinued for Beat Saber on Meta Quest 1 in November 2024 due to future update compatibility issues.
Beat Saber remains playable on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, PC VR headsets, and existing PS4 and PS5 versions of PSVR with no new content.
Support for PSVR and PSVR 2 versions of Beat Saber on PS4 and PS5 has ceased while maintaining the availability of the game on these platforms.
