Debt Securitisation Volume Rises Marginally To Rs 49,000 Crore In April-June

  • Debt securitisation volumes have increased to Rs 49,000 crore in April-June 2025 from Rs 45,000 crore in the corresponding period last year.
  • Non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) led by large players saw a 24% growth in issuances, contributing to 92% of the market in Q1FY26.
  • Top NBFCs are actively using securitisation as a strategy for resource profile diversification, while smaller NBFCs have moderated their originations due to caution.
  • Asset-wise, vehicle loans remained steady at 41%, mortgage-backed loans decreased to around 21%, and gold-loan securitisation surged to 11% in Q1.
