The developers of MindsEye by Build a Rocket Boy are facing challenges with a messy and broken game, leading to some players receiving refunds from the PlayStation store.
Hotfixes are set to be deployed starting June 13 to improve performance and stability for all players.
The first hotfix will address a crashing issue caused by a memory leak.
Subsequent hotfixes will focus on performance issues, a bug with wheels not spinning while driving, animation fixes, enemy AI improvements, and further performance optimizations.
The developers are committed to providing regular updates and addressing player feedback.
The goal is to redeem MindsEye and enhance the gaming experience.
Patch notes for the first hotfix include CPU and GPU performance improvements, memory optimizations, reduced difficulty in the CPR mini-game, a new setting for Depth of Field, and fixes for missing controls in mini-games.
PC-specific updates include warnings for disabled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling and potential crash issues with certain CPUs.
The hotfix release is scheduled for 10:00 BST with patch sizes of 5.7GB for PC, 2GB for PS5, and 4GB for Xbox, with Xbox availability pending Microsoft certification.
