Beed district recorded the highest number of farmer suicides in the region, with 126 cases reported in the first half of 2025.
The report highlighted a rise in ex-gratia payments to affected families, with 264 out of 313 eligible cases receiving compensation.
District-wise distribution of farmer suicide cases in Marathwada from January to June 2025 included Beed (126), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (92), Nanded (74), Parbhani (64), Dharashiv (63), Latur (38), Jalna (32), and Hingoli (31).
