Ripple is expanding its blockchain education initiative, the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), across Asia-Pacific with renewed partnerships in South Korea, Japan, and Singapore, as well as new collaborations in Taiwan and Australia.
The Asia-Pacific region has a booming fintech landscape, making it a prime location for digital asset adoption with strong regulatory support and vibrant developer communities.
UBRI focuses on supporting leading universities in the region through funding, practical initiatives, and direct tech integration to nurture the next generation of blockchain innovators.
Ripple's academic outreach now includes a partnership with NKUST in Taiwan to explore real-world asset tokenization and XRPL's cross-chain features, as well as efforts to embed blockchain tools into Taiwan's academic framework.
