A Tesla owner conducted a 10-day phantom drain test on a Model Y and found that the vehicle only lost 1% of battery charge per day when power-hungry applications like Sentry Mode and Cabin Overheat Protection were turned off.
The Tesla owner left the Model Y at an airport parking lot for 10 days and monitored the battery charge through the Tesla mobile app while on vacation.
Upon returning, the Model Y still had 79% of its battery charge remaining.
Other Tesla owners echoed similar findings and cautioned that leaving power-hungry applications on would drain the battery much faster.
