Uber has expressed concerns that proposed changes to commercial auto insurance requirements in New York City may leave drivers unable to insure their vehicles.
The Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) is proposing changes to ensure comprehensive coverage and insurance carrier solvency.
However, Uber argues that the proposed requirements could upset the vehicle insurance marketplace and leave thousands of owners/drivers without insurance.
The company has asked the TLC for leniency on the adoption deadline and to lower personal injury protection limits.
