Intempus, a robotics company founded by Teddy Warner, aims to give robots human-like emotions and expressions to enhance human interaction and predictability.
Warner realized the importance of instilling robots with a 'physiological state' similar to humans to enable spatial reasoning and better communication.
The company uses various data sources like sweat data, body temperature, heart rate, etc., to imbue robots with emotional capabilities, beyond just observation and action.
Intempus, part of Peter Thiel's Thiel Fellowship program, has already secured enterprise partnerships and plans to further develop emotionally intelligent robots in the future.
