The project is a CSS art tribute to the cultural traditions of Maharashtra in June, featuring festivals like Vat Purnima, Ganga Dussehra, Ashadhi Wari, and the First Rain celebration.
The goal was to create a visually appealing and emotionally resonant experience using CSS art, images, and animations.
The project showcases the spirit of these festivals in a user-friendly manner, highlighting their emotional and spiritual significance.
Built with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap, each festival has its own section with full-screen images, smooth scroll animations, and vibrant colors.
Animations were implemented using IntersectionObserver for fade-in effects and custom keyframe animations for elements like rain and trees.
The project maintains an immersive experience by avoiding card UI and focusing on background images and full-width sections to narrate each festival's story.
Attention to detail was given to evoke sentiments related to the traditions, such as the sacred banyan tree on Vat Purnima and the joy of the first monsoon.
The project emphasizes the importance of storytelling in frontend development and how CSS art and animation can emotionally engage users.
Considerations for accessibility, color contrast, and responsive design were incorporated to ensure a seamless experience on all devices.
