Modder Taki Udon has spent 18 months and over $200,000 developing an upgrade for the Switch Lite, introducing a Super5 OLED screen mod with HDMI-out support.
The journey was challenging, with numerous failed revisions, but Taki Udon finally achieved success, creating the first fully assembled device of its kind.
Despite the significant investment and effort, the modder admits that the project is unlikely to recoup its costs after multiple setbacks.
Taki Udon intends to pursue an OLED mod for the Switch 2 in the future, following the completion of the Super5 OLED HDMI project.
