NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who launched to the International Space Station (ISS) in June, are still there due to technical issues with Boeing's Starliner spacecraft.
The pair's mission was extended as engineers worked to determine if the Starliner was safe to bring them home.
In February 2025, they will hitch a ride on a returning SpaceX Crew Dragon, as their return on the Starliner was canceled.
The delay in their return allows for a handover period with the incoming Crew-10 astronauts.
