2025 BMW M5 launched in Malaysia – G90 is a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 PHEV, 727 PS/1,000 Nm, RM1.2 million
- The 2025 G90 BMW M5 has been launched in Malaysia during the My BMW World event with a price of RM1,188,800 before insurance and RM1,247,900 with extended warranty and service package.
- This new M5 is the first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version of the model, based on the G60 5 Series.
- It is equipped with a 585 PS/750 Nm 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, a 197 PS/280 Nm electric motor, and an eight-speed M Steptronic auto transmission with all-wheel drive.
- The total power output reaches 727 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
- The underfloor 18.6 kWh lithium-ion battery provides 69 km of EV-only WLTP range, with quick charging taking 3 hours and 15 minutes.
- The M5 also features M Sport exhaust system, BMW IconicSounds Electric, and various driving modes including Comfort, Sport, and Sport Plus.
- Exterior highlights comprise adaptive LED headlamps, M Carbon Exterior Package, and 20-inch front, 21-inch rear M light alloy wheels.
- Inside, the M5 boasts the BMW Curved Display, M-exclusive graphics, a head-up display, and various luxurious elements like Merino leather seats, carbon-fibre trim, and Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
- Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) include Driving Assistant and Parking Assistant.
