GWM has announced revised drive-away pricing for the Cannon Alpha PHEV, with an increase in electric range by 5km.The Cannon Alpha PHEV is the second plug-in hybrid ute in Australia and will be sold alongside other variations.Drive-away pricing for the PHEV Lux starts from $61,490, while the PHEV Ultra starts at $67,990 depending on the state.The Cannon Alpha PHEV will compete with the BYD Shark 6 and upcoming Ford Ranger PHEV, offering a 3500kg towing capacity and 115km electric range.It features front, rear, and center locking differentials, beating the BYD Shark 6 in certain aspects.The PHEV can be pre-ordered now, with test drives available from mid-May at GWM dealers.The Cannon Alpha models feature various drivetrains and efficiencies, with the PHEV boasting 300kW of total power and 750Nm of total torque.The PHEV can be charged at up to 50kW using DC power and has V2L capability with a 3.3kW discharge rate.GWM offers a seven-year unlimited-kilometer warranty for its vehicles, with separate warranties for the high-voltage battery in the PHEV models.Safety features include ANCAP five-star rating equipment such as airbags, autonomous emergency braking, and more.
