China's JAC has chosen Australia for the global debut of its latest model, the Hunter PHEV dual-cab ute.
The Hunter PHEV, also known as the T9 Hunter, will be released in early 2026 and compete with the BYD Shark 6, GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV, and Ford Ranger PHEV.
The Hunter PHEV is the most powerful JAC ever, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, dual electric motors, and a 32kWh battery enabling at least 100km of electric-only range.
The Hunter PHEV will feature a rotary gear selector, and pricing and specifications will be announced closer to its launch in 2026.
