Hyundai unveils the second-generation Nexo FCEV SUV at the Seoul motor show with a targeted range of over 700km from a five-minute refuel.The new Nexo features a larger 2.64kWh battery, 80kW output, 110kW hydrogen fuel-cell stack, and 150kW electric motor.Improved power output of 190kW allows the Nexo to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds, an upgrade from the previous model.Hyundai enhances aerodynamics and noise reduction in the new Nexo, along with a Smart Regenerative System.The Nexo's design is inspired by the Initium concept with sharper lines and Hyundai's 'Art of Steel' design language.The interior of the Nexo includes premium features like relaxation seats, digital instrument cluster, and connected infotainment system.Safety features in the Nexo include autonomous emergency braking, lane-assist, adaptive cruise control, among others.The Nexo incorporates sustainable materials in the cabin, V2L outlets, and advanced safety technologies.Hyundai's investment in hydrogen technology dates back 27 years, with the Nexo expected to arrive in Australia in the first half of 2026.Despite investment, FCEV adoption in Australia remains limited due to infrastructure constraints, with only nine operational hydrogen stations.
