Formula E is introducing a new race feature called 'pit boost' which involves a 30-second pitstop to recharge cars. The pitstops will involve a 600 kW fast charge, adding 10 percent (3.85 kWh) to the battery's state of charge.Teams are only allowed to charge one car at a time within a specified window of time during the race. The length of the pitstops might not impress everyone, but they are shorter than prototype stops at Le Mans or Daytona.
