MERO Studios collaborated with a nonprofit organization in Montpellier to create a public installation called Paysage de Pain using 780 salvaged baguettes.
The pavilion explores the theme of food waste and the transformation of surplus bread into a spatial and sensory material at the 2025 Festival des Architectures Vives in Montpellier.
The installation, Paysage de Pain, challenges the perception of gluttony and excess, highlighting the cultural issue of food waste and encouraging reflection on consumption habits.
The structure, made of salvaged baguettes, serves as a temporary monument that celebrates sustainable reinvention and invites visitors to consider the impact of their consumption choices.
