A demo for the blacksmithing action RPG Blades of Fire is set to release tomorrow, 15th May, ahead of the full game launch on 22nd May for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic.
The developer, MercurySteam, initially did not plan to release a demo but responded to fan requests by preparing one, with save data from the demo carrying over to the main game at launch.
Blades of Fire, developed by the team behind Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Metroid Dread, features a unique blacksmithing component for crafting weapons in this Souls-like action RPG.
The game follows the story of Aran de Lire, the last known master of steel smithing, on his quest to defeat the evil queen, accompanied by Adso de Zelk. Early impressions praise the game's fantasy setting, characters, voice acting, combat mechanics, and forging puzzles.
