Lehigh County's pension board in Pennsylvania has stopped purchasing new Tesla stocks over concerns about Elon Musk's political activities and the company's declining performance.
Global pension funds, including those in the Netherlands and Denmark, are divesting from Tesla due to similar concerns.
Other institutions, such as 51 New York State legislators and the American Federation of Teachers, have also expressed worries about pensions invested in Tesla.
Tesla's stock has decreased over 27% in 2025, and there is growing pressure on Musk's governance and political involvement in the company.
