Vitra, a Swiss furniture company, is unveiling its new Manhattan home in a Chinatown loft with a huge wall of windows overlooking the Manhattan Bridge.
Nora Fehlbaum, the company's chief executive, sought a vibe similar to the Meatpacking district in 2003, describing the new space as a discovery with a flexible and minimal design.
The showroom features touches of New York, such as a cast-iron pigeon and decorative pillows by a Brooklyn designer, alongside their furniture offerings.
The location formerly housed the Jing Fong dim sum restaurant and is designed by architect Serge Drouin in collaboration with Vitra's in-house design team.
