Adidas has released a new 3D-printed sneaker called Climacool, which is made entirely from additive manufacturing.
The shoe features a single-piece design that is 100 percent 3D printed, with a rubbery lattice structure varying in density from the sole to the upper for the right balance of cushion and flex.
Although touted as lightweight by Adidas, the Climacool sneakers weigh 416 grams and are more rigid than expected, offering some flexibility but not ideal for post-hike recovery.
The release of the 3D-printed Climacool sneakers has garnered attention and reactions due to its unique design and manufacturing process.
