Advocacy groups have sought to intervene in two lawsuits filed by the EEOC on behalf of transgender workers alleging job discrimination after the EEOC moved to dismiss the cases.
The first case involves a transgender former employee of a Holiday Inn Express who claimed they were misgendered and fired after complaining to management.
The second case involves allegations of harassment by a manager towards an employee of a franchise restaurant chain.
Advocacy groups have stepped in to help the plaintiffs after the EEOC's decision to end litigation.
