After Australians, two UK universities plan international campuses in Gujarat’s GIFT City

  • Queen’s University Belfast and Coventry University from the UK have applied to set up international campuses in GIFT city in Gujarat, following Australian universities.
  • Queen’s University Belfast plans to start with 800 students and will offer masters' programs, with a possibility of offering undergraduate programs and setting up a research arm.
  • Coventry University, established in 1843, already has branch campuses in multiple countries and aims to tackle global challenges through its India Hub.
  • Foreign universities are allowed to operate in GIFT City under relaxed regulations, focusing on courses related to finance, technology, science, and engineering.
