Nvidia has reported its first quarter results for fiscal 2026, with revenue reaching $44.1 billion, marking a significant increase of 12 percent quarter over quarter and 69 percent year over year.
The data center division of Nvidia achieved a revenue of $39.1 billion, up by 10 percent from the previous quarter and 73 percent from a year ago, primarily driven by the AI revolution.
Revenue from gaming also saw a record high of $3.8 billion, showing a 48 percent increase quarter over quarter and a 42 percent increase year over year.
Nvidia anticipates revenue of $45 billion for the current quarter, but faces challenges with a new US law requiring an expensive license for exporting certain products which led to a $4.5 billion charge and impacted the earnings per share.
