AI pioneer Yoshua Bengio has launched a non-profit organization called LawZero to develop 'honest' artificial intelligence that can detect deceptive AI systems.
LawZero received initial funding of about $30 million and is working on Scientist AI, a system designed to identify and prevent rogue AI behavior.
Unlike current AI tools, Scientist AI will offer probabilities instead of definitive answers and can predict harmful actions by autonomous systems.
Backed by organizations like the Future of Life Institute and individuals like Jaan Tallinn, LawZero aims to ensure AI safety and prevent potential risks associated with advanced AI technology.
