<ul><li>Airtel has reached out to Jio and VIL, along with other telcos, to collectively address the increasing threat of cyber crimes and frauds in India.</li><li>The initiative comes in response to a surge in scams like phishing links, fake loan offers, and fraudulent payment pages, resulting in financial losses exceeding ₹11,000 crore.</li><li>Airtel has proposed a Joint Telecom Fraud Initiative on May 14, 2025, aiming to collaborate with all Telecom Service Providers to combat telecom frauds through real-time intelligence sharing and coordination.</li><li>Previously, in October 2024, Airtel had suggested a collaborative approach to tackle Unsolicited Commercial Communications by sharing details of commercial calling connections and establishing a centralised data-sharing platform.</li></ul>
