The Yuyarina Pacha Community Library, designed by Al Borde, serves as a learning and gathering space for the Huaticocha community in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
The library originated from a small reading club for children and has now expanded to be a multifunctional space for learning, playing, and creating.
The structure is made of Chonta wood, a durable Amazonian palm, and incorporates local building techniques while meeting contemporary needs.
The library has three levels with different purposes including workshops, a library collection, and digital learning and cultural preservation.
