Microsoft has introduced standardized accessibility tags for all digital games and experiences to provide clear information about accessibility features.
The Accessible Games Initiative tags can be found on the top of the store page and serve as filters in the Xbox Store, making it easier for players to search for games with specific accessibility features.
These standardized tags are managed by the Entertainment Software Association and have the input of various companies, with a total of 24 accessibility tags available, showcasing features such as text-to-speech and menu narration.
While Microsoft has implemented these tags, Nintendo and Sony have yet to update their store pages with the accessibility tags, and Apple is developing its own accessibility tag system for the App Store.
