Stellantis and Amazon have decided to end their collaboration on new in-car software after initially partnering in 2022.
The partnership included developing the STLA SmartCockpit platform for new Stellantis vehicles, utilizing Alexa and AI agents for in-car experiences.
The SmartCockpit platform was intended to integrate with customers' digital lives for personalized in-vehicle experiences but faced delays, ultimately not launching in 2024 as planned.
The decision to cease joint work was made to allow each team to focus on providing value to customers and aligning with evolving strategies, according to a statement from the companies.
