Amazon's CEO, Andy Jassy, announced that over 100,000 users now have access to Alexa+, the upgraded digital assistant powered by generative AI.
The rollout of Alexa+ is ongoing, with the aim of enabling users to interact more naturally and eventually have agentic abilities to use third-party apps on their behalf.
Although Alexa+ promises original responses on the fly, some key features demonstrated at launch are still missing, including the ability to use third-party apps and generate bedtime stories or gift ideas.
Amazon plans to add more functionality to Alexa+ in the following months, with a goal to achieve 90% accuracy for the web-browsing agent powering Alexa+, Nova Act.
