Amazon doubles down on AI startup Anthropic with $4bn investment
- Anthropic, an AI startup, has raised an additional $4bn investment from Amazon, bringing Amazon's total investment to $8bn.
- Amazon will remain a minority investor and AWS will be Anthropic's official cloud provider.
- Anthropic is collaborating with AWS on the development of future generations of Amazon's Trainium chips.
- Last year, Anthropic also secured a $500m investment from Alphabet.
