<ul data-eligibleForWebStory="true">Amazon India is investing Rs 2000 crore in enhancing safety and well-being for associates and employees as well as overall operations infrastructure.The investment aims to build the safest and most reliable operations network in India with advanced safety measures and technology.Improvements include on-road safety technologies, equitable distribution of delivery routes, and simplifying delivery workflows.Initiatives like Ashray, Samridhi, Pratidhi, and Sushruta are already in place to support the well-being of associates and their families.Amazon provides on-site first-aid facilities, insurance coverage, and free health check-up programmes for associates.Fulfilment centres are designed for accessibility, safety, and inclusivity, with regular improvements in cooling solutions and resting areas.The investment will also focus on developing new tools and technology for the fulfillment network to cover all serviceable pin-codes across India.Amazon India plans to launch new sites and upgrade existing facilities to enhance processing capacity and improve fulfillment speed.According to Abhinav Singh, Amazon India aims to better serve customers by strengthening infrastructure and implementing state-of-the-art technology.
