Amazon Web Services is developing a new AI code generation tool named 'Kiro,' which can generate code in 'near real-time' using AI agents.
Kiro has capabilities for creating technical design documents, identifying issues, and optimizing code. It is expected to work with third-party AI agents as well.
Amazon already has an AI coding assistant called Q Developer, similar to GitHub Copilot. Plans to launch Kiro were initially considered for the end of June.
AI-powered coding tools are in demand, with companies like Anysphere and Windsurf making significant advancements in the field.
