Amazon has developed its own quantum computing chip, Ocelot, joining Microsoft and Google in the quantum computing race.Ocelot is a prototype chip aimed at testing the effectiveness of Amazon Web Services' quantum error correction architecture.Amazon claims that Ocelot can reduce the cost of implementing quantum error correction by up to 90 percent. The use of 'cat qubits' in Ocelot helps to suppress certain forms of errors and increases the potential for practical quantum computers in the future.
