Amazon has launched a new delivery drone with double the range and half the noise of its predecessors.
The MK30 drone has received FAA approval and is currently delivering packages weighing five pounds or less near select addresses close to Amazon's fulfillment center in Arizona.
The drone is designed with aerospace levels of reliability and redundancy and includes systems to detect and avoid obstacles.
Amazon aims to have drones delivering 500 million packages globally by the end of the decade.
