Amazon is expanding its “Now” service to Delhi in a push towards quick commerce, aiming to compete with rivals like Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto in providing near-instant deliveries.
The company has received positive feedback and plans to expand the service in the coming months to cater to the demand for fast deliveries driven by a growing middle class in India.
Amazon's rivals are already offering quick delivery services for items ranging from groceries to gadgets, pushing Amazon and Flipkart to enter the quick commerce segment in India.
Amazon has been investing significantly in India, committing over $11 billion since 2013, and recently announced an additional $233 million investment to enhance its delivery network and infrastructure across the country.
