Amazon Web Services announced plans to invest an additional $9 billion in expanding its cloud infrastructure in Singapore over the next five years.
Since its initial investment in Singapore in 2010, AWS has invested over SG$11 billion in the country's cloud ecosystem.
AWS has taught over 400,000 Singaporeans cloud computing skills and plans to continue investing in upskilling and enhancing productivity in the nation.
The increased demand for cloud computing services and data centres, driven by the AI boom, has led to the expansion of AWS in Southeast Asia.
