AMD has officially confirmed the release of Ryzen 7 9800X3D, a CPU that aims to improve gaming performance with 3D V-Cache technology.
The CPU is priced at $479, offering an average gaming increase of 8% over the last-gen CPU and 20% faster gaming performance compared to Intel's Core Ultra 9 285K.
Using the second generation of 3D V-Cache, AMD has made a big change by placing the cache below the processor, allowing for better cooling and a maximum boost clock speed of 5.2GHz.
While the Ryzen 7 9800X3D has similar specs to its predecessor, it is the first 3D V-Cache processor fully unlocked for overclocking.
