Joseph Walsh, an Irish designer, has created a 20-foot-high sculpture titled 'Magnus Rinn' for the Ireland pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. The bronze and wood sculpture was designed to withstand the extreme weather and seismic conditions in Osaka. To make the wood more durable, Walsh used a high-pressure autoclave chamber, resulting in a 'hyper-performing wood.'The sculpture is Walsh's first outdoor work and his first to use bronze.
