<ul><li>PJobRAT, an old Android Remote Access Trojan (RAT), has resurfaced with new capabilities.</li><li>The new variant of PJobRAT can steal SMS messages, phone contacts, device and app information, documents, and media files from infected Android devices.</li><li>It can also run shell commands, allowing the threat actor greater control over the victims’ devices, steal data from any app, root the device, and silently remove the malware when objectives are completed.</li><li>The new variant of PJobRAT now targets Taiwanese users by spoofing instant messaging apps.</li></ul>
