Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27871 is being released to the Canary Channel, with no plans to release SDKs for 27xxx series builds at the moment.
Energy saver management in Windows 11 is now available in Microsoft Intune, allowing IT administrators to control energy saver settings through group policies and MDM configurations.
The energy saver feature improves battery life, reduces power consumption, limits background activity, and optimizes performance.
Admins can enable this policy through Local Group Policy Editor or Microsoft Intune Admin Center.
New improvements in Build 27871 include Phone Link enhancements, such as viewing notifications, screen mirroring for Android devices, and accessing iPhone memories from the Start menu.
Various fixes were made in different areas like Taskbar, File Explorer, Settings, Administrator Protection, Task Manager, Audio, Graphics, and more.
Known issues include losing Windows Hello pin and biometrics on Copilot+ PCs and a taskbar acrylic material display problem.
Windows Insiders in the Canary Channel are reminded that these builds represent early platform changes and may not all be released in future Windows versions.
Features in the Canary Channel are rolled out gradually based on feedback, and some may appear in Dev and Beta Channels first before reaching Canary.
To exit the Canary Channel, a clean install of Windows 11 is needed due to technical setup requirements.
