Local studio Ao-ft has designed Tree Courtyard House, a home with a cross-laminated timber structure in east London.
The house blends into its surroundings with dark brown-brick walls.
The design of the house is influenced by the 15-meter-tall London plane tree on the site, with windows and skylights strategically placed to offer views of the tree's foliage.
The house features a CLT structure, with a mono-pitched roof form and windows positioned higher up to ensure privacy while maximizing daylight.
