Tesla is gearing up for volume production of its Cybercab robotaxi, with recent aerial images from Giga Texas showing piled up castings around the factory complex.
The castings spotted are different from the components used in the current Model Y and Cybertruck production, leading to speculation that they are for the upcoming Cybercab expected to be in full production in 2026.
Elon Musk has mentioned that the Cybercab production line will be high-speed resembling a consumer electronics line, aiming for a production rate of about 2 million vehicles per year.
Tesla is reportedly testing and validating castings for the compact, two-seat robotaxi to ensure the vehicle's components are refined before full production, according to observations at Giga Texas.
