Apple CEO Tim Cook ranked 4th on the list of highest paid CEOs of S&P 500 companies for the year 2024.
The analysis by The Wall Street Journal revealed that Tim Cook's pay package amounted to $74.61 million, comprising cash, equity, and other compensations.
The highest paid CEO was Rick Smith of Axon Enterprises with a pay package of $164.53 million, followed by Lawrence Culp Jr. of GE Aerospace and Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone.
While Tim Cook received a significant compensation, Apple has faced challenges in catching up to rivals in generative AI technology and has been criticized for various initiatives under Cook's leadership.
