Apple dodges a second Apple Watch ban
- The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has upheld a decision that AliveCor's EKG patents are not patentable.
- As a result, the Apple Watch won't face a second import ban from the International Trade Commission (ITC).
- The import ban would have prevented the sale of Apple Watches with the EKG feature in the US.
- Apple now disables the blood oxygen sensor in newly sold Apple Watches to bypass the ITC import ban.
