Apple is making another attempt to appeal the trade ban that forced it to remove the blood oxygen sensor from its smartwatches.
The ban was initiated in 2024 following a decision from the International Trade Commission (ITC) in 2023 that prohibited the sales of Apple Watch for infringing Masimo's patents.
Apple and Masimo's lawyers presented new arguments to the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit regarding the ban's legality.
The Apple Watch's blood oxygen sensor, removed in 2024, may be reintroduced in future models as part of enhanced health features.
