Apple has added the unique cylindrical Mac Pro, nicknamed 'Trash Can', along with some 2019 iMac and 2018 iPad Pro models, to its vintage and obsolete products list.
The 'Trash Can' Mac Pro from 2013 received hardware upgrades in 2017 but was abandoned with the introduction of the 2019 Mac Pro, reverting to a standard tower shape.
Apple considers a product 'vintage' if it stopped sales more than five years ago but less than seven, while 'obsolete' applies if it hasn't been sold new for over seven years.
The company offers service and parts for vintage products up to seven years, provided necessary parts are available.
