Apple has announced updated 11 and 13-inch iPad Air tablets with the new M3 chip and a refreshed Magic Keyboard.
The M3 chip offers 20% faster performance compared to the M2, catering to consumers' needs without the need for the latest M4 chip.
The M3 iPad Air is available for pre-order with pricing starting at $600 for the 11-inch model and $800 for the 13-inch model.
It comes in four color finishes and storage capacities ranging from 128GB to 1TB, with cellular models available for an additional $150.
The M3 chip in the new iPad Air provides significant performance enhancements, making it nearly 2x faster than the iPad Air with M1 and up to 3.5x faster than the iPad Air with A14 Bionic.
Apple's press release highlights the improvements in speed, graphics performance, and AI capabilities with the M3 chip in the iPad Air.
The Magic Keyboard for the iPad Air now offers enhanced features at a lower price, starting at $269 for the 11-inch model and $319 for the 13-inch model, available in white.
Apple also updated the standard iPad with double the starting storage and the A16 chip, offering increased performance and value to customers.
iPadOS 18 introduces new features like Calculator for Apple Pencil, Smart Script for handwritten notes, and Audio Recording and Transcription.
The new iPad Air and iPad are designed with sustainability in mind, featuring recycled materials and renewable energy usage, aligning with Apple's goal to be carbon neutral by 2030.
